The origins of my work stem from a continuing passion in remnants and patterns taken from the past.  My creative process is spontaneous, leaving no underlying messages or hidden agendas in my finished work.  The content embedded in my paintings reflects memories of familiar surroundings from the past and imaginary images of spontaneous arrangements uncovered today.

I am guided by my work, like finding my way through a maze, trying to sort out the pieces or patterns and finding solutions. my paintings evolves from layers of thick and thin color, that is washed over a textured surface. As I create a piece of work, paths are left by assorted marks and other painting utensils; lines are curved or wavy; and surfaces are wiped off and put back on, dripped, and painted over. Through this process each step adds to an eventual sense of growth and the essence of time.
